| CHARACTER: Katsuki Bakugou CANON: My Hero Academia VESSEL NAME: Shouki (勝) - his name is on the inside of his right wrist VESSEL FORM: The inner gloves and arm supporters to his hero costume. They retain the shock absorption quality to help alleviate the strain on the arms muscles and bones from fighting hand-to-hand, but don’t soak up sweat anymore. Made of a tough but breathable, lightweight material, they are primarily defensive and supportive in nature, blunting damage without sacrificing speed or flexibility. POWER: Like his quirk in canon, his power as a shinki is still related to explosions. In its base form, small explosions can be generated at the palms of the gloves he turns into, which can be used flexibly for a moderate offensive boost or defensively to force opponents away. It’s most useful in close-quarters combat, as the explosions have limited reach. He ends up separated from Todoroki when the villains begin their attack on the training camp and facing up against the escaped serial killer Moonfish alone – as Moonfish seems to have a serious killing fetish, to put it mildly, Bakugou’s instinct to fight rather than flee leads to a fight where he is at a severe tactical disadvantage, and he ends up with several major stab and cut wounds. He bleeds out and dies as Moonfish brings him back to the other villains. |
